Hello everyone

I have just had to buy a new battery for my motorhome as the other one lost charge, what would be the best way to keep it charged up ? we were wondering if to connect the motorhome to power using the hook up ??

Thanks in advance for any advice

Connecting the motorhome to a 230v sourced may not be the total answer. You will need to know if your motorhome is configured so that the cab battery is charged as well as the leisure battery. The best way to check this is when connected to EHU and the battery needs charging measure the voltage across the cab battery. It should be in excess of 13 volts, 14.4 volts would be ideal.

... and if not, buy a good smart battery charger eg Ctek and connect that to your battery, plug it in and forget about it. CTek even provide a lead that can be left connected to your battery that allows you to easily connect the charger in the event that the engine's battery is hard to get at.
