Just booked the Hymer in for 1st habitation service for warranty purposes. The van also has to have underseal sprayed as a condition of warranty. Is this normal ? Do all manufactured insist on this. I assume its a good thing. Forgot to ask if its a one of or every year. The cost of Habitation service and underbody seal is £295 so not too expensive. What's your experiences?

Mr S, I'd have thought anything that 'needs' to be done would've been done by the manufacturer. It has alarm bells ringing for meyell

Is this a chassis treatment of something to coat the hab unit floor?

I haven't heard of underseal being used like this for about 20 years. It sounds odd to me.

Its certainly a warranty requirement so have no choice but uncertain if only certain areas are sprayed or all of the underside. Would be very interested to hear from other Hymer owners. I'm assuming it is only Hymer that does this.

I have heard that some Knaus also have to have this done, I am not sure if its for an Alko Chassis or underfloor.  My Knaus only needs a damp check to keep warranty but i has a Fiat chassis, does yours have Alko to narrow it down?
