Have you built your own campervan ?

I am seriously considering building my own van conversion.

Having seen the efforts and prices of some of the new built van conversions I am totally gobsmacked at their prices !

A close friend has a beutiful new van conversion and the price of it very nearly caused a heart failure and it wasn't even on a new van but one which had done 9,000 miles and yet it still cost them over £50,000.

I am very good at DIY construction and carpentry and having costed out everything I believe I can make my own van conversion on a nearly new van for well under £25,000 and to a far higher quality.

Any ideas or information would be welcome.
