Hi folks

Anybody know if the gas strut on the hab door should hold it open

I have a Autotrail Apache 2013 and the door will swing freely without any resistance either way

I presume I need to replace it as I don’t see what purpose it’s serving

Any tips on where to buy etc much appreciated

"motorhome door gas strut" Google is your friend, loads of suppliers for various sizes....

Thanks for the reply but am I right in thinking it should hold the door open?

Don’t want to replace it for no reason, only had the van for a few months so not sure if that’s how it should be

It might only be a stay designed to stop the door swinging back 180⁰ and banging the bodywork.

Again, try Google and YouTube.
