Frost protection

We are fortunate to be able to park our motorhome on the drive and can hook up if needed. Our new motorhome has electric underfloor heater which has a low setting to prevent frost. Is it wise to hook up and switch it on and leave it on over the winter when not using? Never had this on the old one so never thought about it!
