I've being trying to work out the fuel consumption in our Fiat Ducato 2.3L diesel 150hp automatic. The van is a Dethleffs Esprit A Class (7.6m).

In theory it has a trip computer, but I can't work out how to make it work. Any clues would be much appreciated, or anyones real world experience of fuel consumption in an Esprit.

Yes I've read the manual which talks about the trip computer and lets you set Litres per 100kms etc, but I can see no way of getting the trip info displayed.

Not a Ducato, but my Peugeot has a button on the end of one of the stalks on the steering column. Have you read all the handbook?

I have a 2015 Dethleffs Advantage A Class 2.3L 150 hp Diesel automatic with a GVW of 2,850 kgs.

My van has a digital display as part of the speedo and I can toggle the information displayed using the button on the end of the wiper stalk.  To re-set the settings, I press and hold in the button.

On my last trip, I got 26-27 mpg on average over 3,000 miles using a combination of French autoroutes and Spanish 'A' roads.

Many thanks ... there is a button on the end of the wiper stalk, however with there being no door on the drivers side its not easy to notice. I've averaged 28mpg in the current trip (10,000 miles) around europe. The Esprit has a 4,250 limit but probably running closer to 4,000 with only two of us in it.
