Elddis Autoquest Water System

Hello and welcome. Don't know your particular set up but our freshwater tank had a bung in the bottom. Does yours?

Are you certain the Turma drain plug was fully closed?

Could you have a kink in the water pipes?

Probably all things you've tried......

Will double check the Truma drain tap is fully closed when we have another try tomorrow. 

My system takes a little while to get rid of air locks in hot water pipes from complete drain down.....

The following works for me!

Make sure pump is switched on & run it through, kitchen sink, bathroom sink then shower as I assume this is the longest flow. I then open Truma valve again briefly to ensure no air lock remains in the hot water cylinder part then open taps again in previous sequence.

Once primed & pressurized pump will stop working.

I also had a problem once with kitchen tap leaking from the upper body swivel part which I can only assume was a fibre washer that had dried out over the winter but cured itself!!

Didn't think they even used fibre washers now....

Do you run the cold water to all the taps first before the hot. 
when you say you open the Truma valve is they with the pump on or off. You do mean that empties the heater tank

On our system I always fill the hot water system first by putting the kitchen tap on full hot until water appears and it runs without spluttering. Then turn to cold to expel air and get that running, then clear air from bathroom tap, shower and in our case loo flush. Don’t know about your system, but as well as the main drain on the boiler there are additional valves on the pipe work to it. It’s very easy to forget these and then it won’t fill, the water will just run out underneath. I’ve done it a couple of times.

We got the cold  water to pump to the taps but now we can’t fill up with fresh water. We have been and bought a new submersible pump but when we attach it the water is coming back out of the inlet. 
Anyone know if this could be an air lock ?  We glad a dribble come out of the blue waste drain tap. 

UPDATE

After someone on another forum suggested the Non return valve on water fill inlet may have not have been working or our connector washing opening the inlet valve properly we have managed to fill the tank and got the hot and cold water working

Unfortunately I think we tried to put too much in because the water started dripping along the edge of the van and we saw some water inside running along the same side We have mopped up and put an oil filled radiator and dehumidifier in there. Can’t see any leaks so fingers crossed!

Great to see that you appear to have solved your problem but in answer to your question, yes I open the Truma valve with pump on (this is the one that opens automatically if temps fall below 6*C) just to purge briefly.

I also run cold water 1st as this is direct from tank & not via Truma boiler so should be the shortest distance but thro' trial & error you will find what works for you..... it will no doubt be an annual task.

I can fill my freshwater until it flows out of filler & have never had a problem with it leaking anywhere inside.... I can access it from the inside under seating area via a larger filler cap, is this screwed on tightly?

This is actually how I fill it to prime system, that way I know exactly what I've put in for weight purposes prior to travel.
