Hello everyone,

I need something to fix and tidy these areas around the motorhome (Bessacarr E425) behind the cab doors. I presume it's sealant of some kind but looks almost like someone's stuck a bit of chewing gum over the corner and hoped for the best!

Anyone know the best thing to get for this and/or should I wait till budget allows and replace the whole grey rubber/plastic insert? And a proper newbie question...what's this part called so I know what to ask for please!

Don't want to spend too much as we probably need to replace at least one rooflight this year too.

 Many thanks in advance :)

Looks like the bodgers have been busy. Ideally you need a replacement rubber seal, but as a temporary measure, you could clean the old sealant out and use something like an automotive windscreen sealant e.g. Arbo.

Anything you do short of a replacement seal isn’t going to be pretty!

Have a look on the Woolies Trim website. They have a large selection of vehicle trim inserts (you will have to take a small piece of the existing trim out to ensure the replacement trim is the same). It’s not particularly expensive. The trim tends to shrink with age so don’t stretch it when you replace it. The bodged sealer will have to be removed too.
