Why not put a strip over it with no holes in it. I have just fastened the electric ariel plate to the roof of motorhome with Sikaflex. You need to leave a couple of mm gap underneath so it can form a joint. I used some small stick on cupboard stops. You could then hold the strip in place with tape until it is dry. Sikaflex forms a rubbery seal and certainly keeps the water out.

So does Sikaflex .. Especially if its a couple of mm thick. It's also a glue as well so sticks like Sh** Happy

From personal experiance ................  after you have cured the leaks, or before if you like Buy a dehumidifier and a moisture meter. I recommend a Meaco 10L dehumidifier. turn it on and leave it on untill the moisture content of the structure has come down, you may need to seal of places like fridge vents and stop the outside moisture getting in. Good luck.
