Class C1 Driving Licence

This year I'm going to have to renew my driving licence by post to retain my C1 classification.

Does anyone know how long DVLA are currently taking to process this type of application? Whilst I understand I can continue to drive in the UK whilst the Licence is the DVLA, I believe I cannot drive in Europe!

Any advice. Thanks

I think it just depends on what is involved. If you need medical tests it can be sometime but if only a rubber stamp job it should be under 6 weeks. You can apply to renew it early by a couple of months.

Thanks PD & Dorset Driver. As far as I know I have no medical issue's that would prevent me from renewing my license. It's good to here that DVLA could issue a covering letter if needed (if this doesn't take too long). I'll aim to  apply as early as possible and hope for the best.

Whilst typing I see that my profile shows "Caravanner" I have just changed to "Motorhome", hence my enquiry. I'll have to change the profile.
