Just gone to an in storage mostly to rotate the wheels, needless to say that the battery was flat.  I have identified the two terminals that allow jump starting, can you use these to connect the charger to?

In the handbook it try's to make it look as though it is only to be used for jump starting.

All I can say is 'Solar Panel' and 'B2B Charger' - and then there should never again be a flat battery.

Best of luck sorting it out - and Happy Christmas.

29th Nov...so no birthday surprise.

Storage owner has laid on some power for me, so at moment is plugged into van internal charger, going back shortly to see if anything is going in.

GL, do you know if your charger looks after the vehicle battery aswell as the leisure battery? if not, hooking up wont help you.

some vans only charge the leisure battery....you can test this by putting a voltmeter across the vehicle battery terminal when the ehu charger is on...it should read about 14.4v...

anything lower than this (around 12.5) means no charging from the vehicle charger

similarly, you can test that the vehicle alternator is charging your leisure battery by putting the voltmeter across the leisure battery with the van stationary but the engine running...again, it should be about 14.4v.

good luck.

B...thanks for that, I will check tomorrow morning.  I suspect it doesn't.

I have a volt meter, will take it with me.

Hi - I was wondering if you had success charging the main battery from the jump start points?
I've had to jump start my Burstner on Fiat Ducato base using the terminals in the engine bay.  I'd now like to charge the battery - can this be done by the terminals, or does the charger need to go on the battery itself.   If the latter, if I disconnect the earth, can the positive charge cable be connected to the positive terminal, or do I need to disconnect as well - there are umpteen cables going to the positive terminal and I am not sure if its okay to connect charger without fully disconnecting.
Many thanks for any help/advice.
