Budget First purchase Camper Van

Hi, 

My wife and I are looking for a Camper van.. nothing trendy, just practical and reliable.. Budget ? Around £3k ish - maybe more.. it needs to be two berth.. we have no pets or kids.. right hand drive.. diesal would be good.. auto would be even better but I don't mind a manual really. 

It needs to get to places like scotland easily.. we live on the south coast.. so it has to run nicely and economically. 

Electric hook up would be good.. shower.. not essential.. 

Any ideas out there ? I would be very grateful for pointers ..
