Bailey autograph 74-2

Our first motorhome was a 2013 Bailey Approach 740 which was essentially the same layout but it has moved on in terms of equipment. We found it a spacious and comfortable van and travelled all over the UK and Europe with it. We keep it for 6 years before going for another Bailey which was a bit smaller. The 74-2 payload is not over generous but if you have the licence quite a few people have the weight uprated.

We’ve had 2 Bailey Autograph’s, a 2015 & the 2017 75-4 model. Yours is the 3rd generation model and is a refined version of the earlier models now. Ours is very comfy, nice and wide, which some people are nervous about on the road, but we’ve not had a problem.  Been all over the UK & one long trip across Europe.
You need to check it’s had all its services obviously, Peugeot & habitation and we have a logbook for the Alko chassis which needs greasing every year & I get them to stamp this book too. So you need to see the paperwork for the service history and handbook stamps, Peugeot, Bailey & Alko.

Transferring the Bailey warranty needs to be done within a strict timescale and requires a small fee to Bailey. You need to make sure you understand your obligations otherwise it voids the manufacturers warranty. The annual habitation services also needs to be carried out within a 6 week window of the delivery date, some people fall foul of that too.

Otherwise, they are good motorhomes imho.
