Hi, We have recently bought an Autosleeper Broadway and are unfamiliar with the controls set up so may be experiencing finger trouble!  With mains power plugged in we are having trouble getting the Thetford fridge to operate on 230v as it flashes a while then reverts to gas as a default. Are we doing something wrong. If any experts out there can help, we would be ever-so grateful!

Also with a full tank of water, occasionally there is an audio and visual warning that the fresh tank is low. Also occasionally get an audio and visual warning that the leisure battery voltage is low when it is showing 13.7v whilst being topped upwith solar energy.

We have the same Motorhome and fridge. I assume that you have tried to set the fridge to “A” (automatic) and if so then it should default to mains where EHU is connected then switch to gas if the mains is disconnected. Sounds that you have no power to the fridge. Try checking all the circuit breakers in the wardrobe Sargent panel to see if any have tripped.

Control panel shouldn’t be doing what you describe so get it fixed under warranty. The level switches can be troublesome but in combination with the battery indication it would seem to be a problem with the panel. 13.7 volts from the solar panel is correct and is sufficient to maintain the battery.

Just to add to the above, the breaker for the fridge also feeds some of the electrical sockets etc. Check that when you are plugged into the mains all the other functions are working e.g. electric hob, all sockets, etc.

Further to previous, have found the AC heater element is open circuit so needs replacing. I am told they are in the region of £40 with an hours labour to replace. So we should be soon “cooking on gas” or should I say “cooling on electricity”! Thanks for your input.
