Hi there    just used our motor home for the first time a couple of weeks ago loved it.  We were wondering  about additional electric heater as not happy about leaving has heater on overnight. What voltage we can use when hooked up on site and can anyone recommend a electric heater we were looking at radiator type what would you recommend.  We were hoping to leave on overnight if really cold.  We need to keep van warn at night for our disabled daughter.  Does anyone have ideas please

We used to take a lightweight convector heater in our van conversion (the blown air system was too noisy.) A 2kw adjustable heat level and thermostat was fine. At present we carry a small fan heater just in case the heating system fails.

We carry a small fan heater as well for the same reason and I suspect that many do Brue.

If cold at night why not consider electric blankets as very low wattage and can be kept on all night, so good for your disabled daughter.

Another one here. The only time we've used it was in hot weather set on cold.

+ 1  here  --  Ideal if used with an electric remote control, so it can be switched on or off from the comfort of your bed without upsetting the rest of the sleepers  innocent

We are another one that carries a fan heater as a back up but we also (in winter) carry an 800w small radiator.

We have tried it just on its own to see if it kept the van warm enough at night, it does.smile

If I  had to I have a convector heater at home that would also do the job but it takes up more floor space.
