Water barrels

A good tip, from the CC magazine of a number of years ago.

Buy a length of plastic one and a half inch piping from Wickes and cut a length of about 18 inches long.

When filling your water barrel, put the barrel under the tap, push the length of piping down into the barrel, then slide it back up and put it over the tap fitting. Then you don't need to hold a rubber hose against the water presuure, and get wet.

The plastic pipe will fit over all tap fittings.
