When will the manufacturers of these devices fit rubber tyres!!!!!!!!Am I alone in finding the"morning trundle" by caravanners an annoyance?I carry my waste container to the emptying point as I have done for the last 40 odd years.The flat waste water container fits under the van on sloping sites,fits in the gas locker when on tow,and most importantly.........makes no noise!!!!!!

I’m afraid some things are a fact of life and we just have to put up with them, TG.
I know, strangely the longer I'm away in the MH the less these things bother me, maybe I should take Malcolm up on 'living on a campsite full time'

TG, I was very careful not to be specific re individuals👍🏻. My Grandma pointed out the age process to me many years ago. She said you are old when-you lose your tolerance to others differences, you expect others to revolve around you, you want to be left alone. . . .until it suits you personally. Lastly you call others selfish because they won’t dance to your tune. I personally have begun to tick one of those boxes so I To am going that way. How many boxes you tick is up to you👍🏻😊.

Most definitely it is an age thing. Depending on how long and how loud one listened to the music of one’s youth, in time hearing begins to fail. Not so one would notice it much, but the drumming of Wastemaster wheels dulls down and one talks in a louder voice than before (so that one can hear oneself). Also, as the high frequencies go, one does not notice so much the screeching and screaming of children – though an ambulance and a flock of gulls sounds much the same.
Some folk have electronically assisted hearing and can literally switch off to outside noise altogether

Wastemasters are a peculiarly British thing and mostly spotted on Club sites. On the continent it would be an I-Spy Red Letter day to spot one.
We used the Fiamma but for about 20 years prior to that we had the black low level waste carrier mentioned by others. Of course, many people just crack the cap open a little so they only empty once when leaving the site - no name, no pack drill!

Ahh the good old switch off the hearing aids. Had that option for over 10 years now. That was after having surgery for exostosis 20 years ago. Prior to that endless problems from flying too frequently since my 20's.
My wife and daughter still haven't got used to me being deaf until I put 'my ears in' each morning.
Unfortunately, being deaf, often people don't understand that I have a disability and at times as the batteries expire my voice gets louder cos if I can't hear my voice how can others?, I become increasingly monotonal and am often accused of being aggressive or ignorant as I struggle to communicate with those who aren't aware of unseen disabilities. I call them thick, or poorly educated, or intellectually challenged as they are slow to realise my struggles. 
Although I'm in my 7th decade, I'm only in my 50s 
so not old at all. In my case age has not been a factor in my disability. Thankfully I can call on the excellent NHS to have regular scraping of my ear canals and servicing of my aids until I finally lose my hearing completely. Surgery will not prevent the exostosis.
