Looking for a mobile tyre fitting service to replace my single axle tyres at home.

Size 195/70R15C.

Notts Area

I read up that the C means commercial tyre, so they are heavier loading than car tyres and different structure side walls with less flex.

Recommendations please, as the car tyre sites arent that clear. Who do you Caravanners recomend.

Another vote for E-Tyres. Used them for car, caravan and motorhome. If you look on their website they have a page of information on caravan tyres which might help you.

If you are going to a discount outlet make sure you check the age of the tyres as many of the highest discounted tyres have been sitting around for a while hence the discount.  The eTyres man has always shown me the date on the tyres before fitting.

Yes, as above they are C rated (Commercial Light Vehicle). The rating is 102, so OK.

looking for mobile fitters, as not messing about with jacks and running around.

I assume that you mean a load rating of 102 is ok for your particular Caravan.   Some caravans if might be over the top others inadequate.

I’ve used E tyres before and no problems.   Don’t forget to ask for the wheel  to be balanced.

Tip

search by tyre size, put your car reg in and it will come up saying that the tyre is not the correct size for the car. press continue anyway, and it will give you budget/mid and premium options for your tyre size and any promotions they are running.

Update.

Fiittig booked for today (Sunday anytime between 09.00am to 08.00pm).

Got an email stating that fitter would be here between 09.00 to 1.00pm. and he would call when on route. Got a call at 09.15 to say he was 20 mins away.

Turned up bang on time. jacked van up properly, middle and each end.

His van (mobile workshop) was spotless, had all tools needed.  Shown me the tyres before he fitted to make sure i was happy and as i had ordered.

Took 10 mins per wheel. Once both wheels fitted and on the ground, he torqued all wheel nuts. Friendly guy and great service.

Will be using them again.

 Probably.
