Got the Tow car Ford Ranger Wildtrak BUT the caravan club say you need 80mm from bumper to middle of tow bar. I make the Ford fitted one a Brink A5-x only 58mm (and we needed a drop plate ) - any thoughts on getting to 80mm (or do we need too?) it’s for a Bailey Cartagena V. Alko hitch.

You say a drop plate, so the tow ball is a flange mount with two big bolts. I'd have thought you need the AL-KO Extended Neck Towball.

Can't say on the drop plate, but as eM suggests above, I'd suspect that the Ford supplied towball is a standard 2 bolt flange ball & you'll need an ALKO towball
