Hi,

Anyone with a swift or sprite with the awning light that fills with condense, the led one which was on a 2019 swift and now a 2022 swift not sure when they first introduced these.

Fed up with this I have now drilled 2 small 3mm holes in the bottom and it has cured the issue, condensation all gone and the light works just fine and better still no rain gets in.

Yes could have got a new one or claimed but it would be replaced with the same light.

It's a poor design and I can't believe they are still fitting it knowing it's a problem, hope this may help anyone else.

reason is fairly simple it so you will need to buy another one. Its called planned component failure. Our Bolero is just over 5 years old and we are starting to notice components failing. Best one is the shower mixer tap. We forgot to drain down last winter and the PLASTIC tap split with frost. £115 from the dealer. NO £29.95 on e bay a nice little Chinese compatible tap fitted perfect and all metal so no more frost dramas. I bet swift make a mint every year with cracked plastic taps. The weight difference between the plastic and full metal was 115 grams so its not about weight. The design is to ensure a regular number of customers will forget to drain down properly and will need a new tap.
