Second time around caravaners (last toured 18 yrs ago)

Picking a nearly new van  up in 2 weeks just wanted some advice on which security items are best should it be wheelclamps and if so are they hard to fit,or Hitchcock or both....

Also would appreciate recommended about  tv makes before we buy one obviously looking at duel voltage . Any advice welcome.

Initially, check the requirements of your chosen insurance company (or change to a company that demands security levels you feel are right for you)

We have Stronghold wheel lock and Milenco Heavy Duty hitchlock as per our insurance (kept in car en route)

We have similar to SH5436 which is easy to fit.

The super heavy duty for Al-Ko has also served us well.

The Al-Ko lozenges, whilst supposedly more secure are very expensive IMHO and more difficult to fit?

WE use Linsar domestic TV/DVD (JL, although we feel any small set would do?) which has a mains adapter but with correct lead would be used on 12V.

We actually have a small inverter which enables it (and anything else with a small power) to work on 12V.
