Problems with warranty

we have had a problem with Elddis refusing a claim which they said was out of warranty.  the front locker lid became detached from the hinges for the second time in 1 year. the hinges are glued onto the lid and the glue had failed, this time on both hinges, we have had the caravan for just over a year and were told that this problem was only covered for the first year. we believe that the front locker lid fastening should last for the life of the caravan not 14 months.  we are still pursuing this with both the supplier and Elddis but wondered if anyone else has had a problem either with elddis or any other manufacturer with getting things done under warranty.
