The Practical Caravan has just published its Owner Satisfaction Awards for 2013 in its March edition.
Of respondents buying new vans Baileys led the way with 35.5% of sales followed by Swift (27.5%), Lunar (14%) For those buying used Swift Group came first (39%) followed by Bailey (25%) Eliddis (15%)
For new van satisfaction Bailey came out on top with 88% and the best new van dealer Dorvic Caravans 98%.
For pre owned vans Adria came out on top with 93% and the dealer Chichester Caravans with 98%
Major faults in new vans reported by the respondents Fit & Finish (43%) followed by water ingress (22%) Pre owned vans showed biggest problems appliances (22%) followed by fit and finish (17%)
Of those respondents buying pre owned vans in the past 2 years 49% were 2 years old or less 25% 2007 to 2009 vintage and 17% purchased vans over 11 years old.
