Picnic Table Stowage

On our last two vans we have put the caravan stowed table in the loft as they are heavy and unnecessary for two people.  On our old Swift Challenger we used the space for stowing our picnic table and a glued piece of wood in the housing was sufficient to prevent movement in transit.  The table in our Bailey Unicorn was dispensed immediately to the loft as it is extremely heavy but unfortunately our Lafuma table is just a little long to go in the housing so we are thinking of buying a smaller table.

Just wondered whether anybody else has done this and, if not, then it is an idea that I am happy to share.
