Hi we decided after thinking for a few years that we will buy a caravan, as my wife has had enough of our tent, after spending a week in the IOW in a tent and meeting many people with caravans, so we are going to go for it!
We are going to book on a towing course and intend buying a cheap van for around £2-3k with a view to upgrade in a year if we enjoy it
My main question is I have found a 1997 elldis alfreso 5 birth and we can buy it for £1700 this seems ideal for us but what should I chek out first it's a private seller, should I run it through HPI do I need to find a chassis number? Is there any other advice anyone could give me? Is it good value? Or is there other models we should consider? We drive a Peugeot 307 swe 1.6 hdi we have been told it can tow upto 1300kg by our local dealer , any advice I would appreciate
