More about tyres

The general recommendation is that when a tyre reaches 6 years old it should be replaced. With a new vehicle it is probable that the tyres are older than the vehicle. To find out the age of your tyres go to Google and type 'age of a tyre'. This will take you to several websites that explain how to decipher the code. Tyre sales sites do not go into this as most car tyres are replaced when the tread is worn. Bear in mind that even high mileage caravans do not show much tred wear.
