(Moved from Overseas Sites)

I bought a new c/van last year which will be due its first annual service shortly and as with all my earlier vans I was proposing to use the services of a highly respected local"Authorised" Service Centre.who have given exc.past service. On perusing the service docs for the new van the manufacturer has stipulated that only one of their dealerships should be used for service work which infers that use of any other workshop would be prejudicial to any claim under terms of guarantee. The nearest dealership is some 30m. distant & less convenient to me. I have sought clarification from the mnfctr. without response to date but wondered if other members might have challenged the legality of this requirement. It also poses the question of what use are authorised centres if not recognised by the manufacturer for service/warranty work.
