LED lights

My caravan has mini fluorescent tubes for lighting over the kitchen area, in the toilet, and over the bed area, but the two over divan spotlights, the outside the door light, and the 12v table lamp all use conventional car type bulbs. Has anyone experience of replacing these bulbs with LED ones? The information you see says that LED bulbs use less power, last much longer, and are less likely to get damaged.
