Good Afternoon,

I have a 2010 Pegasus 534,and the tap in the 'kitchen' area is starting to become loose...so was wondering if anyone can tell me how to tighten the tap,how do I access the area under the tap etc... save me having to call out an engineer!

Thanks in advance!

The aluminium sheet is, I think, a heat shield.  It was held in place by a number of screws which were quite easy to remove - and re fit.  I had to use my 'bendy' screw driver though.  Once removed you can access the bottom of the tap.

Just looked again, carefully, and there are no screws holding the heat shield, just a mass of sealant. I don't feel inclined to start disturbing that. The leak is only a very tiny weep so I think I'll live with it.

Sorry my suggestion has not helped, I have a 2009 caravan so they are probably made differently now!  Don't want a leak anywhere in the caravan, little leaks can lead to big problems.

Thank you everyone for all your help and advice, much appreciated.    Job now completed, and tap is tight!    Bit of a tricky job working around the heat shields, besides the screws being in awkward places, the water pipes went through one of the shields so couldn't remove that one, anyway job done,so 'she who must be obeyed' is very pleased!... Off to Cornwell on Monday...take care and stay safe and cool!!cool
