Hi.
We’re new to caravaning, having just bought a 2004 Avondale Mayfair as an experiment to see if we like it. It came with an Ambassador Crown Gold awning but no instructions. Just wondered if any one had a parts list(to make sure I can put it up) and instructions? Been on their website but I’m still confused! Thanks.

looks easy on a nice calm, wind free day ..... a little more challenging when it's blowing a hooley! 😂😂 And no gravel in sight!
On my last poled awning, I built the poles up at home & taped each end with coloured tape so when on site it was a simple matter of joining yellow to yellow ... red to red etc

Yes a nice new awning on a still day! See he used an Isobella product to lubricate the awning rail; no doubt this is expensive, any silicone spray will do. Your awning is no doubt older than that in the video. Nevertheless the principle is the same and as Emily's Dad said lay out poles at home and colour code. When I had a poled awning, to make pulling through the rail easier, I packed up the awning with sides and front unzipped; when I got it up I then inserted the sides and front and pegged out as described. Taking the awning down I removed the sides and front before sliding the canvas out of the rail it is much easier to handle and pack up doing this. After a few goes you become expert at this process. It easier with two people. If you are missing the 'quicklock' things into which the poles sit on the side of the caravan, they are widely available through any accessory shop. Also, storm guys are a useful accessory and give peace of mind on windy days.
TIP. Take the awning down the day before you are to leave the site. Wash the plastic mud flaps and any other parts as necessary and let dry before taking it down. If you have to take the awning down when it is wet you must dry it out at home as soon as possible
