Internal caravan lights flashing on and off

Do they all flicker/go off at the same time ?

Assuming the lights etc are all in the 12 volt circuits, I suggest you check for a loose or bad connection in either the positive or the negative circuits. Start from the battery and work forward to the 12V distribution board.

The spotlights come on and off randomly without us even switching them on. And they are just random. Sometimes one will come on sometimes all of them. 
The main lights once switched on via the switch flash on and off every few seconds. We ended up having to turn them off but the spotlights just kept coming on. Thanks

If this is all happening to the lights that are in the 12v circuitry only? It could be a faulty or oxidation of the contacts on the caravans’ habitation relay? This relay is activated to disengage the caravans’ 12 volt internal circuitry when the towcars’ engine is running during towing, but obviously if there’s a problem with the relays’ contacts or the sprung contact return mechanism within the relay, then this could cause intermittent power failure etc within the caravans’ internal 12 volt circuits?

edited PS, have a look in all of the caravans’ hideiholes, you find some circuit boards with relays attached, give each one of the relays a wiggle & a tap, you may hit the jackpot?

2019 laser 665, 12v system lights, Alde, tv etc flashing on and off periodically.

Tried a wiring fix as per dealer paperwork, moving cables in control panel and charger transformer, didn’t solve the problem.

Tends to happen when it rains! This morning shortly after the rain started lights radio heating flashing on and off!

Removed the fuse from the solar panel near the solar controller, last half an hour all working properly no flashing. 
when we get home, investigation on the roof to see if any water ingress into the wiring joints. Should be cheaper and easier than changing relays and charger unit.

Eurotour, we have the same model and year of van as you. We had exactly the same problem and video recorded the phenomenon for the dealer. Dealer clueless as was Coachman. Eventually we managed to get the supplier rep who Coachman subbed out the electrical design and supply to. Essentially, it was a software upgrade due to the 12VDc cutout threshold set too low. Our problem lasted on an off for 2 years with changes of charger units and periods where everything appeared to be fixed and normal. Still don't know what effect the rain had - possibly a sudden cooling on a sensor? Anyway, don't give up, get the electrical system supplier in!

The solar panel fuse removal didn’t resolve the issue for long, however I have since replaced the charger transformer and so far bingo all working as it should even in the rain.

Additional bonus the transformer fan is silent, no continual surging noise when there are more than two lights on. Previously the noise was quite annoying in the background, the flashing has stopped, lights stay off and the sound of relays fluttering has gone.

A very easy fix £137 and three plug connections, longest bit is dismantling the wooden housing to get the plastic cover off the top of the fuse box. Just make sure the mains are disconnected, solar fuse removed and 12 v master off. 30 minutes from start to finish.

For information, the 12 volt system was completely fine if not connected to the mains. When it started playing up the solution was to trip the charger MCB, unfortunately this also requires the fridge to go over to gas as it’s on the same MCB. It did however allow the heating and hot water to stay on electric. Or at night in warm weather turn off the master switch and allow the fridge and charger to remain on but isolated all 12 volt.

Having already moved the wiring around in the fuse box and the main control panel plus change the control panel build number as per BCA Leisure instructions via the dealer. This was a waste of time and changed nothing.

As the issues only occurred when the transformer was in use, it seemed a reasonable bet that this was the issue.

Still all working fine so fingers crossed 

Hi - we have a 2019 Coachman laser with exactly the same problems. The BCA charger has already been replaced once in 2021 but we are now back to flickering lights, panel etc which only resolves when we switch the charger/fridge off on the PDU. So...we assume it's failed again. Did anyone get to the bottom of the problem? Thinking of fitting a different charger outside of the PDU where there is more ventilation. 🤔
