Hi I have the aqua roll with the float thing to connect to mains at service pitch

i saw the direct plug in hose to cutout the aqua roll

this is brilliant except the water pressure in the van is a bit low.

is there an adjustment

I don’t want to increase too much for fear of joints popping

regards

john

I have used both Whale and Truma adaptors and neither can have the presure adjusted. When using the Truma and you have an onboard pump try using that as well as it may increase the pressure. Not sure if it does and damage to the caravan though.

Hi I had same issue when I rang Whale tech department he was adamant there was no difference in pressure when using the direct connection, he obviously has never used one. I abandoned my direct plug in and have use my aquaroll and float method ever since with no pressure issues.

anyone out there want to buy a direct system?

I have a Truma Flow to connect directly to my Swift caravan. It has a built in pressure reducer in the hose to prevent excess pressure from damaging the connections to the caravan or internal pipes. The water pressure can be very high at a service pitch but it copes with it very well and never had a problem. Much better than having to faf with an aquaroll and cut-off valve in my opinion.

Until the pressure reducer fails then you have a flooded caravan as opposed to a flooded pitch if the float valve fails in the water container.

There is always that possibility but I've not heard of it happening to anyone using a Truma Flow. So far so good.

Anyone out there had one fail and did it flood your outfit or does it prevent water flow in the event of a failure?

To be fair we have showered with the lower pressure with out a problem  ok have to run around a bit to get soaked🤣

But I do like the idea that the water coming is straight from the tap not having sat in the aqua roll for a while😊

I had a similar problem with my Whale direct connector a  few weeks ago - very low pressure. Didnt have an aquaroll with me. Resorted to filling the onboard tank from the low pressure hoe for the duration of the holiday.

Spoke to whale on return, who were very helpful. As the van internal and external pumps were working at pressure, Whale guy said clearly nothing wrong with the van, must be the Whale plug in adaptor failing - it was 6 years old. He provided the part number and a link to replace the hose and plug in adaptor. Now works fine at better pressure than the internal or external pumps. Cost was £65.

If you can run around your shower must be a helluva lot bigger than mine!!!
