Fridge operation in hot weather.

Two points regarding fridge operation.

In my last van the battery operation of the fridge, when connected to the car, was indicated by a light on the fridge.  A look through the window told you that it was 'live' and that the connection was therefore operating properly.  My Olympus has no such indicator, has anyone fitted an LED or something to their fridge circuit?

Second point: On my last van I fitted a small fan within the fridge outlet to draw air through in very hot weather.  This considerably improved the fridge performance, particularly the freezer compartment.  It is my intention to make a 'clip on' attachment for this van to do the same.  Computer fans are cheap and cheerful and do the job perfectly.
