Dampness

Hi, I have 2011 Elddis Avante 624 which has twice had dampness on the offside. The first time was when it was serviced and dampness was found around the water pump and on the wheel arch. Elddis allowed the independent Service Engineer to fix this, and everything seemed fine. However, after some heavy rain in August I noticed water sitting on the wheel arch in the wardrobe. I contacted the repairer who came and checked for dampness. Both of us were shocked to see bubbling wallboards and find dampness  the full length of the van!  After some discusion Elddis have decided to take back the van and repair it over the winter. Is this normal practice and has anyone else had this happen to them?
