Hailstone Damage to caravan in Leicestershire,
cosmetic damage only
Why am I going round in circles
1997 Swift Classic Duette
written off, want to buy back from insurer, as caravan was serviced, fridge repaired, 2 new tyres fitted, good condition except for hailstone damage,
had not been used prior to storm
my neighbour has almost identicle damage, he has wrtten conformation that his is category D and can be re insured NO Problem (if only).
insurer says mine is category C may need inspection and report to re insure WHY?.
When is the Caravan Club going to get to grips with the problem of caravan write offs for cosmetic damage only
I am a 69 year old widower who still enjoys trips out with my caravanning friends, I neither want or need a new caravan,
should I be wrtten off with my caravan as I also have cosmetic wear and tear?.
