carrying gas in the van

just a quick one, due to noseweight restrictions i can put either my spare wheel or my gas bottles in the front locker. up to now its been gas in the locker and spare wheel in the van just behind the axle.

is there any regulation to stop me leaving the wheel in the front locker and carrying my gas bottles upright in the van and then putting them in the front locker once on site? This would be easier than lugging the wheel in and out each time we stop. already looked at undervan storage for the wheel but Would prefer not to.
