theres plenty of places, a service area nr chester on the M55, and lots of laybys on the A55 coast route towards colwyn bay. best easy way to cricceath is straight down A55 towards caernarvon  then left to portmadog new road then right to cricceath all signposted. avoid towing caravan into llandudno as it gets busy and parking is a nightmare for towing. hope this helps

The services at Chester on the M56 would be a good stop, signposted from motorway. They used to have dedicated area for caravans but now you're in with lorries.

Just past Conwy you go through a tunnel, not the one at Conwy/Llandudno Junction the one after that. Just past the second tunnel you'll see a Shell garage. There's parking through the other side of petrol, enough for a caravan.

If you miss that then there is a large layby going uphill when you leave A55 for Caernarfon. We've stopped there. No problems. Road to Criccieth is fine for towing.
