Awning rail

Hi,

We found damp in our van when we took it in for a window repair and asked for a damp test at same time. As we are under warranty we took it back to the dealer on 18th of June, and where told they didn't get that high readings but would take rail off get another one and reseal. They said it would take a while to find rail and call us when found one. Any idea how long i should wait ? Its a 2002 van thought they shouldn't be that hard to find. They said it will take months to fix as they have to strip wood back put dehumidirfier  in and let it dry out, and reseal. I'm i being impatient of beeing fobbed off ?
