Are we all going Electric ?

We spend most of our year on rallies and only have electric hook up a half a dozen times or so.

We have just ordered a new caravan , for delivery in 2013, that is fitted with no less than 7 230V electric sockets and this is not a top of the range van !  I am assuming that 230 V connection is fairly important to today's caravanners or manufacturers wouldn't fit them ?
