All-electric caravans

I read that Bailey are producing a very nearly all-electric caravan and although I can see some benefits I can also see a few negatives.

This will prohibit people using CLs that have remained low cost because they have not invested in EHUs.

People with these vans will not be able to make use of the excellent rallies that the centres organise.

If this idea catches on Caravan Club sites could find their electicity systems overloaded and needing upgrading resulting in even more expensive site fees.

If sites and CLs try to restrict electricity use by reducing the amperage similar to continental sites, this will lead to more and more connections tripping out leading to frustrated users and site owners.

If people try to get round the problem by carrying gas and portable appliances, this could lead to danger and an increase in weight instead of a reduction.

What do other people and the Club think about this?
