We brought our very first Caravan in April last year. We have been doing some work on it. We have notice a crack at the front. Does anyone know on what the best thing to repair it.  Also on what sort of paint to use for the outside please.

We did up a very old 1984 caravan a few years ago. We used Land Rover car paint on ours, rubbed down carefully to give a slightly dull surface, all chrome work/areas not to be painted carefully masked, and then did a test patch, somewhere hidden. All was ok with ours, so paint applied with small roller and brushes, carefully working to avoid any drips, as paint is quite liquid. It came up fantastic. Careful prep is the key, but try and identify what your areas to be painted are made of, metal, plastic, etc… Get some guidance from wherever you get your paint from. Paint won’t be cheap by the way, but you can get a huge range of colours. We have another similar van half renovated, will do same again on exterior. Good luck with your renovation, it’s very worthwhile. You get exactly the outfit you need, and older outfits are so simple to work on👍

Dealing with the crack, will depend on what exterior panel is made from. Once you know this, try Google, but classic car renovation websites might help👍
