3 wheel drive! (Reich)

I have a secondhand Reich Easydrive Pro 2.8 fitted to my van.

Like most, I haven't used it for 18 months+ although it has been towed for a service, but the motor movers were not used.

Using it last weekend, only 3 out of 4 movers engaged. After a short trip (just a few 100 yards) when maneuvering again, the reluctant mover then worked (did vibration of the move do the trick?) Five days later, I need to move the caravan back and the reluctant mover is back again and would move before or after the short trip!

As the wheel turns when I operate the mover, there is obviously power to the mover.

I note from the manual that the mover has an "engage" pair of wires and a "motor drive" pair of wires. I suppose the next step is to check the controller is demanding the drive engage?

If that is present there must be a fault within the mover? Do I assume it has limit switches? Could they be at fault?

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Peter

I take it this mover is auto engage 🤷‍♂️ Sounds like lack of use has partially seized the engage mechanism so I'd be trying to lube it up before stripping it down. Maybe continued engage & disengage of the mover will get things moving
