Hi,

I am wondering if I can fit a new plug socket to the front of my van by buying a new socket and then piggy backing from the other one already fitted without any issues.

Please see attached pic.

Any feedback welcome.

If by "piggy backing" you mean taking a spur from one socket to feed another, yes, you can.

However, with respect, if you need to ask the question, should you be undertaking a DIY electrical job on your caravan?

Morning, yes I did mean take a spur from existing socket. I did this on our old 2011 bailey with no problems.

The only reason I ask now is with it being a more modern van and should there be anything to be aware of.

Thanks for the reply.

If I'm not mistaken you can buy a kit from Sargent which has the required plugs included to simply plug into the socket next door?

You will need to use 2.5mm flex cable, I fitted USB sockets in those blanked out sockets on our 2015 swift luckily finding a 12 volt supply at the back of the draws I presume they fit the same wiring loom across that model range
