Hi, can anybody tell me what the 3 terminals are on a red 12v fridge switch (I.e. for cooling whist running)? I’ve had problems with this. At present if two terminals are connected (each has a white wire) the switch illuminates ( not sure if the fridge cools), but when I connect the third (brown) wire to the middle terminal, the illumination goes off and there is a clicking from (possibly a relay?)  near the main set of fuses.

If the same as other 12v switches with a light, I believe the default setting is top for live in, middle for the switched live out and bottom is negative from battery or earth from van chassis, NOT picked up from the 240v contacts.

Thank you Colin, that makes sense. With the middle terminal NOT connected, the switch illuminates when thrown, but the live out isn’t finding its way to the appliance (I.e. the fridge element).
