I would like to share my idea for keeping the water pipe off the ground when refilling the water barrel. screw the plastic pipe holder to the caravan use silicone on the screw to stop any water ingress.

By "cliping"the pump out of the water also remember to remove the pump from the housing when putting it in the water too reduce the risk of airlocks

I also use two Aquarolls, but they connect together. So filter stays in one until I'm packing to leave, and the other makes all the trips to the tap. Gives 80 litres which is enough for two bedtime showers, and another two on rising.

Why take the pump out? Just top up the water with a 5 or 10 litre jerry can or plastic bucket. The excercise will do you good. Either that or pay extra for a service pitch!smile

One trip to the tap with the Aquaroll vs 8/4 trips with a container .... one trip wins for  me! smile

Managed to photograph the Truma Ultraflow showing (hopefully) the fold out hook for the pump.

My caravan came with a Truma pump .... utter cr4p IMHO. The plastic pipe is far too rigid and the two halves of the connector too easily came apart and the pipe easily slipped off the connector.

The Whale pump as suggested on this forum is far far superior .... No idea of comparable flow rates as we tend to just use the water from the Aquaroll to pump to the onboard tank.

And with two Aquarolls can one make that half a trip?

Showers before and after bed, What a waste of water. More trips to empty grey water as well.

Whether one considers it a waste is probably greatly influenced by what one does in the time between the showers.  The "more trips to empty" can be mitigated by simply using two Wastemasters as well, although I have not yet found a way to cascade them!

It seems that there’s little in this world that we can’t make harder if we try. Five trips to the water point in lieu of rolling a barrel there and back once. I prefer cycling for my own exercise.

But, jennyc, think of the chances for chatting to the general hoipoloi out there -- bit difficult if simulating the Tour de Yorkshire, even if you could understand their dialect  wink

Seems to my thinking it somewhat defeats the logic behind owning an "Aquaroll", ie to avoid actually carrying water?
