There is an interesting article in The February magazine re up rating the Wifi to 100MB at 107 locations. It also states that “ you will find streaming movies, staying in touch with loved ones and posting photos online, even easier than before. Being able to stream videos is now also mentioned on the WiFi web page, although it also says that you shouldn’t.🤔

I always thought the wifi was just intended for emails and browsing, not streaming and face time. Even if uprated to 100MB, it’s not going to take many streaming in HD or using face time to overload the system.

Last week I paid £11.00 for a weeks WiFi and it was a complete waste of money, for three days all I got was a notice ‘no internet’

For members who do not have an unlimited data contract and who want your own WiFi connection on site.

From an article in the July issue of MMM, it describes how to create your own mobile WiFi with an unlocked router and data only SIM card. I followed their advice and bought a Huawei E5576 router (£40) plus a 10GB sim card (£10). It allows connection to 4G network to which you connect to with your phone or Smart device.

The SMARTY sim card is topped up when you need it  but expires after 30 days, so you only pay for what you need - no monthly fees.

Once we can back into Europe I will be using that rather than the roaming charges that phone companies are already introducing.
