Help us improve the service we provide to our members by completing a short survey about your monthly Club Magazine.

It will take around 6 minutes to complete and everyone who completes the survey by 11 November 2018 has the chance to enter a prize draw to win 1 of 3 £100 M&S Gift Cards.

You can take the survey: here

Thank you so much to everyone who takes part, we really appreciate your feedback.

It was one about CLs. Only closed for answers around four weeks ago, so early days yet.

Done, about as much chance of winning the draw for entering as of buying the car and caravan reviewed in this months mag.

Has anybody else noticed the increasing amounts of advertising flyers, charity letters and other dross that comes through in the plastic wrapper of the club magazine!  Is it really necessary? Does the extra income go towards making the magazine better? Personally I give to one charity close to my heart for personal reasons! I don't want to subscribe to endless cases of wine ect.  Just give us more space for members letters.......

When and even where do you think the winner will be announced? Skip the postcards 😉😂.

Your question was answered in another post only recently by Staff member Tracy. Her reply is quoted below.

David

I emailed our Commercial Manager with your comments and this is his reply:-

"I am delighted to hear your views around the importance of the Club magazine. We have constant surveys and members still view the magazine as the main form of communication.

Regarding your response around unwanted advertising and communications this is more of a complex matter. The magazine has a significant cost attached to it and its main function is to provide our members with information required to enjoy their main hobby, which is touring. Regarding the advertising and loose inserts, we endeavour to make hobby specific and or relevant to the demographic. Without the support of advertising, the whole cost of producing the magazine would be a cost. As a Club we need to consider spend wisely.

Many of our advertisers are now either member offers (most exclusive to our members) or products which are related to the Club shop, where members receive a discount to purchase relevant products to support their touring lifestyle. Look out for the member offer and Club shop icons.

The leaflets (inserts) that accompany the magazine, do perform well, indicating that members are using the products and services advertised, however we understand it is not for everyone. We do have strict guidelines on advertising we accept through our channels. We also understand that any advert is only relevant if an individual is considering that purchasing that product or service."

I hope this has answered any queries.

Kind Regards

Tracy
