Sainsbury's Everyday Shopping Card Failure

Given Up - poor user experience!

We purchased the card about a year ago costing £4 handling charge. This means there is no discount on the first deposit of £100 and phone calls to 0845 expensive too!

Charging the card on line is a pain, clicking link after link going round in circles until you find the link you require!

We used the card for shopping at the local Sainsbury's which was out usual choice. During most of the lockdown we had goods delivered and therefor can not get a benefit using the card on  line.

Now after some relaxation of the lockdown we have reverted to visiting the Supermarket. On several occasions the store checkout could not scan the card which meant a huge disruption in searching out Customer services to assist.  On our last visit we could not checkout again, back to  Customer Services who issued us with a replacement Card. Sadly the paying in credit on line does not accept this card and  we refuse to pay for another replacement after so few uses.

Bye bye stress and embarrassment at the till and sorry CaMC a good idea misfired! cry

Are you sure you're talking about a 'Sainsbury's Reward Card'?  Hubby and I have had one each for many years and we use them to accumulate Reward Points to spend at Christmas.  We didn't pay for the cards.  It's only a store loyalty card.

I think what you're referring to is an 'Everyday Shopping Card' not a Reward Card.

It is the club's reward offers

"Save 4% everytime you reload your Sainsbury's Everyday Shopping Card to spend in store"

Could you help and correct the title?
