as usual left the caravan insurance renewal to the last day or so i thought.....went on line to renew as the offices were closed.....must be pleased that the CC  are nice enough to provide a late after office hours option......

somehow it turns out that the last day wasn't actually the last day and my policy had lapsed.....well never mind just use the figures in the renewal quote for insured values and start over again....what an amazing thing.....only a whole load cheaper than the renewal quote.....thanks CC Insurance.....

That is often the way with many insurers. Some have gotten wise to it and can detect that you already have a current policy though.....

We did that only to find that the details should not have been retained and the quote was invalid.  See my post regarding car insurance massive hike which is still being investigated.

Strongly suggest you contact CC immediately to ensure that the insurance cover is valid.

The renewal date is the date on which the new insurance should begin. Not sure how you got a lower premium as I checked my premiums on line at renewal and got the same figure. The clubs premiums are fixed although some others might not be but not many on caravan cover.
