Red Pennant Multi trip Travel Insurance - at 75

I've reached the age of 75 and that number seems to fill the Insurance industry with dread.

I now find that getting Travel insurance is a bit harder than it was when I was 74.

I have been doing the rounds of Insurance companies to get a decent price quote but because of having a declared heart condition attached to my insurance details for a couple of years many refuse to cover me or ask for 'silly' money.

So, I have had a look at Red Pennant Multi trip Travel insurance and they have come up with a reasonable quote.

But, nowhere on the online application form does it ask personal questions, as most other companies do, about my medical problem, medication required and how fit I think I am.

Has anyone else 75 or over with medical problems used Red Pennant insurance?

Any help appreciated.

Ask google to show you the PDF of the Red Pennant Brochure - the medical questions are all on there. If you can say No to all of them you will be in the clear. As you get older Red Pennant is cheaper than medical insurance from other companies.

Last year I paid a £100 penalty for a 12 year old vehicle.....now it doesn't apply until vehicles are 15 years old....Thanks!!!!Surprised

Luckily my MH broke down and I made my first ever claim. I got £250 back against labour charges so I don't feel robbed!!

I find Red Pennant's approach to medical conditions very refreshing. You are asked some pretty simple questions and from what I can see its only if you are currently undergoing some sort of treatment that you have to explain in more detail. We were rather dreading the application this year because of Margaret's bypass operation but it made no affect on the policy or the price. It seems that many insurance companies take the opportunity add an extra fee for every pill you take rather than taking the pragmatic view that if you are being treated for a condition you are likely to be in a better position health wise than all those walking around with the same condition but undiagnosed?
